They say everybody has a book inside them and if Darren Stephens has anything to do with it, it will be an international best-seller!
The Australian entrepreneur was the marketing genius behind the global success of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, which has sold more than 50 million copies all over the world since its launch in 1993.
He will be sharing his tips-of-the-trade at the Whitsunday Writers Festival, due to take place from Friday, September 18, to Sunday, September 20, 2015, at the Whitsunday Marine Club, Cannonvale.
Now in its sixth year, the festival is a hotbed of ideas and inspiration for everyone who loves reading, writing, words and books.
Festival communications director Deborah Friend said it was a major coup to secure Darren Stephens, as he is in demand all over the world as a speaker and has written four best-selling books.
"Darren is a self-made millionaire and is a real Australian success story, having started his first business in Mildura, Victoria, aged just 13,"said Mrs Friend.
"He then sold his shop-fitting business for $15m, aged just 25 years-old. He now travels the world speaking about creating business, personal and financial success and has written four best-selling books - we are very lucky to have secured him for this year's festival.
"I think his workshop - How to Become an International Bestselling Author - and his talk - What Rich People Know But Desperately Want to Keep Secret - will both be sell-outs."
Darren will be joined on the speakers' podium, on Saturday, September 19, by authors Blanche D'Alpuget, Jessica Watson, Mark Abernethy, David Reiter and Ryan Campbell.
Other workshops on Friday, September 18, will cover self-publishing, poetry writing, how to write a thriller, marketing yourself as a brand and telling your story through photos.
‘Early Bird’ discounted tickets are available until Aug 1, 2015, at www.whitsundaywritersfestival.com
